Orphan

The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt a child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther. Almost as soon as they welcome Esther into their home, however, an alarming series of events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that there's something wrong with Esther--this seemingly angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther's sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late-for everyone.-IMDB

Paper Heart

Paper Heart follows Nick and Charlyne on a cross-country journey to document what exactly "love" is. Interviewing ministers, happily married couples, chemists, romance novelists, divorce lawyers, a group of children and more, the determined young girl attempts to find definition and perhaps even experience the mysterious emotion. But as they travel across the United States and even venture to "The City of Love" her pessimistic denial may hinder her chances at finding real happiness.-IMDB

I think this movie is going to be really sweet....and i love Michael Cera...and Chalrene Yi seems to be funny...well she has to be considering she is in the Judd Apatow (guy who directed Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Step brothers, Superbad..etc.) family now.....

Entourage gets 'Ugly'

So for those who watch Entourage you have probably been tuning in to the new season. If you can remember in one episode Turtle is fuming and chagrined in the beginning of the episode because he couldn't wrap it around his head that in "Knocked Up," Seth Rogen who plays a nerdy, not-so-attractive guy ends up with the hot girl (in this case, Katherine Heigl). He complained that that doesn't happen in real life....

Turtle: His ugliness is oddly fascinating. Especially in Blu-ray. It just pisses me off.

Drama: Why would you be pissed off? I'm the one who was too good-looking to even get an audition for the role.

The argument wasn't exactly a big deal, but the script did manage to get under Seth Rogen's skin with some digs about his looks....

Rogen retracted with....."Yeah, those guys are a--holes," Rogen told E!'s "Daily Ten." "I actually ran into Matt ... Kevin Dillon in a Starbucks. And he's like, 'You know, I've got to kind of apologize because apparently the guy who created our show doesn't like you so much.' And I said: 'Well, I have reason to believe because I think [showrunner] Doug Ellin is a moron from all I can understand, so it makes sense he doesn't like me.' And I've kind of said some disparaging things about the show. Although in our defense, [producer] Mark Wahlberg called us misogynistic in an interview, so I think they kind of started that. It's on. Luckily, I never have and never plan on watching 'Entourage.'"

Side note: Apparently Seth Rogen was still bitter about a pilot that got turned down by HBO that he claims was similar to Entourage....hhmmm interesting....and i guess this dig at him just fueled the fire...smh

i saw the episode ....and i think they over-did it with the seth rogen bit but that's just my opinion....

Baby Face Syndrome

Dont you h8 when people treat you like a child because you look like one?

Where are my baby faces @????????

Seriously though, people like myself who have a baby face are always bewildering other people. People still think I'm in HS because I look like a 15 yrd old. I cant help that I have a baby face.

People are often confused especially in the workplace People for the most part respect me but some disregard me and underestimate me because I appear to be so young.

It would be one thing if it was because of the way I carry myself but its merely because of this freaking baby face!!!

It's frustrating but I''m used to it. It hasn't been a big hindrance in my life so I don't fret too much about it but STILL.

Older adults tell me all the time that I should appreciate it now and that in the future I will Happy that I look so young.

I guess I better get used to being carded every where I go. Even though I turn 21 in less than 3 months I still have to look forward to the questions and the comments: "How old are you?"; "You look so young!;" "You look so innocent and naive"

ugh!

Don't be fooled by the cheeks and angelic appearance...LOL

Obama a racist??

Oh WOW!

Really Glenn Beck????

Check this....Fox News Channel commentator, Glenn Beck made the statement during a guest appearance on the "Fox & Friends" morning show. He said Obama has exposed himself as a person with "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture."

His remarks came during a discussion of Obama's reaction to the arrest of Harvard University scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. [side note:Gates is black and was arrested for disorderly conduct by a white police officer over a misunderstanding about a break-in at Gates' home.]

He failed to back his statement up with any actual fact and his remarks are just completely asinine.

How much is too much honesty?

I was thinking of the concept of honesty and I became torn about the issue of how much honesty is too much honesty in a relationship (all kinds)....

Everyone is familiar with the phrase, "honesty is the best policy," but is it though?
I think honesty is imperative to build a strong relationship but I also believe some things shouldn't be said. I suppose it's all situational.

For instance no one likes brutal honesty because insensitivity in language never prevails. Most people don't have the intent of hurting someones feelings but they do anyways because they think that telling you the absolute truth about everything will be more beneficial. Even little honest remarks can be damaging like, "Yea I love that skirt your wearing but your butt looks big in it." This may not seem that bad to some but others may not feel the same way.

In relationships, couples like to discuss each other's pasts but saying something about how you still have feelings for your ex may not be constructive for the relationship. This may leave the other feeling insecure and self-conscious about the relationship.

Again all this is situational bu ti think the essential thing to keep in my mind is to think before you say and do. You cant go wrong with that!

What's the Word...

so....
As an Existentialist I believe it destroys a person's individualism to make a person become something that people in power desire. Its dehumanizing and it reduces people to merely an object. Existentialism stresses that a persons judgment is the determining factor for what is to be believed rather than by arbitrary religious or secular world values.

Specifically, I am referring to religion and how over zealous religots (die hard-s) seem to want to push their theories on me. I mean I have reviewed and comprehended many different religions and although I respect it for what it is and what it means to others I don't necessarily believe in it.

So this correlates to an experience I had. I wore a rosary the other day, even though, I'm a proud agnostic and my friend said I was a walking contradiction which was unsettling so I had to set him straight.I simply explained how the cross is one of the most ancient symbols of our time and I can't help it if I appreciate its aesthetics regardless of the religious connotations.

Labyrinth of Color(Exhibition coming this fall)

Literally reaching out into the abyss, Labyrinth of Color, finds artists as they approach the deepest regions of our real and imagined space. Radiant colors shine forth, as each artist travels into the unknown, bringing back surreal visions of our universe to share with audiences. Its so brilliantly expressed through the power of color.
